MUET 2007 result!

40,515 in MUET Band Three or higher

PETALING JAYA: A total of 40,515 or 45.12% of all candidates achieved Band Three or higher in the mid-year Malaysian University English Test (MUET).

According to a statement from the Malaysian Examinations Council yesterday, 176 obtained Band Six; 2,987 Band Five; 11,960 Band Four; 25,392 Band Three; 33,138 Band Two and 16,152 Band One.

MUET, which tests listening, speaking, reading, comprehension and writing skills, classifies candidates according to six bands or levels of achievement, from Very Good User (Band Six) to Extremely Limited User (Band One).

Candidates who want to retake it must register at their individual state education offices.

（吉隆坡訊）多數大學生的英語水平仍處於中下程度！在8萬9805名應考2007年馬來西亞大學英語考試（MUET）的學生當中，超過80%的學生處於中低水平。

2007年年中馬來西亞大學英語考試（MUET）成績於16日出爐，大馬考試理事會今日（週二，17日）發文告指出，共有9萬3324名學生報名，但只有8萬9805名學生應考。

根據文告的分析，只有0.2%學生的英文掌握能力處於非常好，即176名而巳；處於良好等級的學生則有2987名，只佔區區的3.33%。

這也表示，大馬學生的英語掌握能力普遍上處於中低水平，考獲令人滿意及以上水平的考生只有16.85%。

大馬考事理事呼吁欲重考的學生，向各州教育局登記，7月25日截止報名。 （星洲日報•2007.07.17）

Look at the analysis! Only 0.20% of the candidate thet means ONLY 176 of the whole Malaysia get Band 6 ...
wow... is it really so difficult...
are them going to lower the standard the coming year or at new silibus ?

Anyway, this is only a new start for us are taking lower 6 this year! So we must work hard lo!
